CrossFit 184 — Privacy Policy

Effective Date: July 2, 2026 · Last Updated: July 2, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how CrossFit 184, located in Marysville, Ohio (“CrossFit 184,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), collects, uses, and protects information about you when you visit crossfit184.com, submit a form, sign up for a class or membership, or communicate with us by phone, email, or text message (collectively, the “Site”).

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

  • Contact information you provide, such as your name, email address, mailing address, and mobile phone number;
  • Membership and billing information, such as class or membership selections and payment details (processed by our payment provider — we do not store full card numbers);
  • Health or fitness information you voluntarily share with coaches, such as injuries, physical limitations, or goals, used solely to guide your training;
  • Communications, including messages you send us by form, email, text, or social media;
  • Website usage information, such as pages visited, browser type, and general location, collected automatically through cookies and similar technologies (see Section 4); and
  • SMS opt-in data, meaning your phone number and your consent to receive text messages from us, collected when you check a consent box on a form (see Section 3).

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information above to:

  • Respond to inquiries and process membership, class, or camp sign-ups;
  • Send appointment, billing, and class reminders;
  • Send marketing and promotional communications by email or text, where you have consented;
  • Personalize your coaching and training experience;
  • Operate, maintain, and improve the Site; and
  • Comply with legal obligations and protect the safety of our members, staff, and facility.

3. SMS Opt-In Data and Text Messaging

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted.

Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent — meaning your phone number and your agreement to receive texts from CrossFit 184 — are not shared with, sold to, or disclosed to any third party for their own marketing or promotional purposes, under any circumstances. This information is used solely by CrossFit 184 to send you the messages described in our Terms of Service.

We collect consent separately for two categories of text messages — non-marketing (transactional) messages such as appointment and billing reminders, and marketing (promotional) messages such as offers and event announcements. Checking one consent box does not opt you into the other category; you may consent to one, both, or neither, and each is governed by the language in your consent checkbox at the time you opted in.

We use a third-party messaging platform to deliver text messages on our behalf. That provider processes your phone number only as necessary to transmit our messages and is contractually restricted from using it for its own purposes. All other categories of information described in this Policy may be shared as described in Section 5 below; this exception does not apply to SMS opt-in data and consent, which is never shared for third-party marketing purposes.

You can opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message. For help, reply HELP or contact us using the information in Section 9. See our Terms of Service, Section 5, for full detail on our messaging program.

4. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

The Site may use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies to remember your preferences, understand how visitors use the Site, and support advertising analytics (for example, through tools like Google Analytics or Meta Pixel). You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling cookies may affect how the Site functions. We do not use cookies to track SMS opt-in consent or to share phone numbers with advertising networks.

5. How We Share Information

Other than SMS opt-in data (see Section 3), we may share information with:

  • Service providers who help us operate the Site, process payments, manage scheduling, or send email and text communications, under obligations to protect your information;
  • Legal or safety authorities, if required by law, subpoena, or court order, or to protect the safety of any person; and
  • A successor business, if CrossFit 184 is involved in a sale, merger, or transfer of assets — subject to that successor honoring the commitments in this Policy.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

6. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information, including secure payment processing and restricted access to member records. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your Rights and Choices

You may:

  • Request access to, or a copy of, the personal information we hold about you;
  • Ask us to correct or update your information;
  • Ask us to delete your information, subject to our recordkeeping and legal obligations;
  • Unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in any email; and
  • Opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the information in Section 9.

8. Children’s Privacy

The Site and our Messaging Program are intended for individuals 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information, including phone numbers for text messaging, directly from children under 18 without parental or guardian involvement. If you believe a child has provided us information without appropriate consent, contact us and we will delete it.
