Grit Camps
We built a program that does more than build strength. It develops resilient, well-rounded young athletes who move better, compete harder, and carry less risk of injury, in their sport and out of it.
Why Teens Grit Camp?
Grit Camps is our hybrid program for teens, blending proven CrossFit methodology with targeted sports performance training. The result is the edge they have been looking for, physically and mentally.
We ran this program for a full year before opening it up, and the results spoke for themselves. Parents told us the change went well beyond the gym:
“We’ve watched our child grow not only physically, but mentally. The program pushed them to believe in themselves, to embrace hard work, and to keep going even when things got tough. That kind of mental resilience has translated into the classroom, friendships, and everyday challenges. They’ve learned how to set goals, stay disciplined, bounce back from setbacks, and lift others up along the way.”
This is about equipping the next generation to move with purpose, lead with confidence, and grow through challenge.
Benefits
Why Teens Grit Camps at CrossFit 184?
More than strength
Most youth training only chases size or speed. Grit Camps builds the full athlete: strength, conditioning, coordination, and the confidence to use it under pressure.
Carries over to their sport
The work here transfers directly. Better movement mechanics and real conditioning mean a teen who performs when it counts and recovers faster between seasons.
Mental resilience, not just reps
The hardest part of any session is mental. Teens learn to set goals, push through the tough middle, and bounce back, habits that show up in the classroom and in life.
What does a typical class look like?
Every session makes the hour count. Teens move through a structured warm-up, focused coaching on technique, and a training block that pairs CrossFit Conditioning with Sports Performance work. The intensity is real but always scaled, so a first-timer and a competitive athlete can train side by side and both leave better.
Each Five-Week program is programmed by owner Zev Green, alternating between a strength-specific day and a speed, agility, and conditioning day each week — giving teens a structured, purposeful build across both areas. Coaches get the balance right on the floor: real accountability delivered in a way that builds teens up, knowing when to push and when to encourage.
